TU, IWU claim Mideast League Players of the Week

With a pair of dominant wins over Midwest League opponents, Taylor and No. 6 Indiana Wesleyan bring home the MSFA Mideast League Players of the Week honors.

Offensive Player of the Week
Nathan Parker, Taylor
So., RB, Silver Lake, Ind. (Tippecanoe Valley)

  • Rushed for three TDs in the Trojans' 45-28 win at St. Francis (Ill.)
  • Collected 98 yards on 18 carries in the win
  • Wins his first career MSFA Player of the Week honor

Defensive Player of the Week
Deven Arevalo, Indiana Wesleyan
Sr., DB, Houston, Tex. (Trinity International [Ill.] / Clear Brook)

  • Grabbed two interceptions in No. 6 Indiana Wesleyan's 31-3 win over Saint Xavier
  • Returned his two picks for 52 yards, and made three tackles in the win
  • Earns his first career MSFA Player of the Week honor

Special Teams Player of the Week
Lucas Shilts, Taylor
Sr., K, Marion, Ind. (Eastbrook)

  • Was a perfect 7-for-7 on kicks in Taylors' 45-28 win over the Saints
  • Finished with 9 points, including a 24-yard field goal and six extra points
  • Takes his first MSFA Player of the Week honor this season, and fifth of his career
