COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican quarterback Cris Reisert and linebacker Josh Fraley were recently named the Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) Mideast League Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week.
Reisert, a 6-foot-2 junior from Moeller High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, wins the award for the fourth times this year and second straight week after he broke his own conference records for passing yards in a game. In a 50-28 win at Urbana, Reisert set a Mid-States Football Association – Mideast single-game record for passing yards (556) and set a new season record in the MSFA with 43 touchdown strikes. On the day, he was 36-of-51 with six touchdowns and no interceptions for a pass efficiency rating of 201.0, the third time this season of having over a 200-rating.
The 2006 AFCA All-American sports six 400-yard passing games this year and has thrown 43 touchdowns, which leads all divisions. Reisert is second behind Texas Tech’s quarterback Graham Harrell with 4,290 yards this season.
Fraley, a 6-foot-0 junior from Clearfork High School in Bellville, Ohio, recorded a team high 13 tackles including four for loss. Fraley also had a sack and recorded three quarterback hurries in the Panthers 10th victory of the season.
ODU will return to action this Saturday, November 10th as they conclude their regular season in a MSFA-Mideast League game versus #23 ranked Malone College. Kick-off is set for 12:30 p.m.
